Technical Features
- Self-adhering membrane construction: Eliminates the need for additional adhesives or mechanical fasteners during installation, reducing labor steps on the job site.
- Waterproof barrier design: Creates a continuous protective layer that prevents water infiltration at deck surfaces and post contact points, directly addressing moisture-related structural degradation.
- ACQ-compatible formulation: Engineered to perform in contact with ACQ (Alkaline Copper Quaternary) pressure-treated lumber, maintaining adhesion and integrity where standard tapes may fail.
- Rot and corrosion protection: Acts as a physical separator between treated lumber and hardware or adjacent materials, reducing premature deterioration caused by moisture and chemical interaction.
- 3″ x 75′ roll format: Provides a manageable, job-site-ready roll length suited for wrapping posts, beam ends, ledger boards, and deck framing members without excessive waste.
- Black colorway: Blends discreetly beneath decking surfaces and against treated lumber, remaining visually unobtrusive in finished assemblies.
Applications
- Wrapping deck posts at ground contact and footing interfaces to prevent moisture wicking
- Protecting ledger board connections where decks attach to structure
- Sealing beam and joist ends exposed to weather or hardware contact
- Creating a protective barrier between ACQ-treated lumber and metal connectors or fasteners
- Waterproofing structural framing members in above-ground deck construction
